Melba Clark

Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Mental Health Counselor, Therapist

I am a Nationally Certified Mental Health Counselor, dedicated to helping people find their Path to Peace. Born and raised in Muskegon Heights, I am a lifelong Michigander who knows what it means to struggle and need some support. I was fortunate enough to grow up with parents who provided nurturing support and encouragement but also helped me to understand that as we navigate life, we must be resilient. The values of hard work, patience, confidence, and communication were instilled in me from a young age. Helping others has been my passion for as long as I can remember; this is how A Path to Peace LLC came together.

My vision is for people to understand the value of taking care of their mental health each day. Our Mental Health plays a significant, tragically under recognized role in our overall health and well-being. As we navigate the challenges that we all face in this life, it is important that we learn to recognize our mental health needs and how we can take better care of ourselves in this area.

One of my goals is to help remove the stigma that many of us have regarding seeking counseling. I want you to know that you do not have to have a mental illness in order to seek out or benefit from counseling. Seeking counseling is a form of self-care. Seeking counseling means you recognize and value your wellness and are taking active steps to continually improve yourself. It means you are taking the next step toward becoming a better you.

I look forward to working with my clients to build genuine, respectful relationships that can help to make things better for everyone. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping, working out, and gardening. l look forward to working together to help find your Path to Peace.
