Melba’s journey began in the college setting, where she served as an Academic Success Coach, and later transitioned into the school system as a counselor. In 2020, she stepped out on faith and founded A Path to Peace. It's a name that reflects her deeply held belief in the transformative power of therapy.
“Being on your path to peace carries great meaning. It means choosing self-awareness, prioritizing mental health, and giving yourself permission to grow, just like going to any other doctor’s appointment.”

Melba is passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health. She understands that therapy is not always easy. It takes courage to be vulnerable, and true healing often requires hard work and patience. Her approach is honest and compassionate, walking beside each client through the ups and downs of their journey.

With a background rooted in resilience and service, Melba has built a team of dedicated, diverse, and highly skilled therapists who share her mission. A Path to Peace proudly offers both in-person and virtual sessions to meet clients wherever they are.
Melba’s Therapeutic Approaches:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Person-Centered Therapy
-
Career Counseling
-
And more, based on the client’s individual needs
Her counseling style is authentic, energetic, and client-focused, helping individuals gain deeper self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and begin their healing journey with purpose and intention.

At A Path to Peace, the vision is simple yet powerful:
To create a space where healing begins, identity is discovered, and peace is found from within.

Melba believes that finding the right therapeutic fit is essential because that’s when real, meaningful work can begin. A Path to Peace isn’t just a name, it's a lifestyle and a commitment to living a more fulfilled, intentional life.
